Here’s a new movie of a concert we recently did with Pitch Pine Project in Lelystad. It was very nice! Check out the beautiful solos on a piece I wrote entitled: Ing! I’m already writing new stuff as we speak for an album we’re going to record in the beginning of next year.

The King
•July 31, 2009 • 1 CommentI did a big arranging job again for a tv program called: Waar Is Elvis? (Where’s Elvis…? It’s on RTL4 on Friday. It’s almost a surreal experience to be listening only to Elvis for 10 long days…Arranging is hard work, but very rewarding in the end.
Last week we mastered Tom Beek Big Time. Sander van der Heide did a great job as always! I’m happy with the sound. This whole project has been fantastic. Great musicians, good energy!
I’m going to mix Satori Society and the very exciting new Tim Langedijk Trio recordings! I’m really looking forward to doing this, two very special projects!

June is always a very busy month. A lot of festivals, exams, and other stuff to do.
Last weekend I played with Chris Strik New Orleans Experience at two festivals. This was great!
Yesterday I mastered Bora Bora with Sander van der Heide. I’m very happy with the sound. And it’s a very nice band. I’ll keep you posted on how to order this summersound-cd.
I’m now working on arrangements for Dancing With The Stars.
Coming weekend we will be playing with Satori Society in de Dromedaris in Enkhuizen.

Recording Horns
•May 18, 2009 • Leave a CommentYesterday we recorded the horns for Tom’s new cd. It was a big operation since I wanted to record the horns in the livingroom. Because it has a nice wooden floor. It sounds great! We recorded 8 pieces in 5 hours. These guys are such professionals. Truly amazing arrangements by Henk Huizinga, Martijn van Iterson and Tom. I wrote one new piece myself. It’s really magical to hear everything come together. Looking forward to mixing this mega-project. In June I will be mixing 3 cds I play on. The new Tim Langedijk Trio, Tom Beek Big Time and Bora Bora (this is a band I play with in Spain every year. Jeroen van Vliet on rhodes, Mete Erker sax, Ferhan Otay guitar and Pascal Vermeer on drums).
Tom Beek’s Big Time
•May 6, 2009 • Leave a CommentWe’ve been recording 2 days with a new band of Tom Beek called: Tom Beek’s Big Time. This is an incredible band with 5 horns. The rythmsection: Marcel Serierse on drums, Martijn van Iterson on guitar, Rob van Bavel on rhodes, me on bass. I’ve posted about this group earlier. The recordingsession was really nice! Relaxed, great playing and great sounding music. Next week we’re going to record the horns! I’m looking forward to mixing this project, because it already sounds so good. These players are incredible.
